I am a first-year Ph.D. student, and I am including my CV, workshops, Intercontinental Nuclear Institute, and conferences.
Organized by Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden
The course deals with the modelling of nuclear reactors, with emphasis on their multi-physics and multi-scale aspects. The course can be followed either on-site at Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden or fully on-line. The course covers neutron transport, fluid dynamics and heat transfer. This course aims at presenting the main algorithms in the computer codes used by the industry and in academia for the macroscopic modelling of nuclear systems. The underlying methods used in such codes, together with their assumptions and limitations, are thoroughly presented, so that the codes could be used with confidence. During the course, the participants will also have to implement in Matlab some of the presented algorithms to solve some practical problems of relevance for nuclear reactor simulations. The course also includes some hands-on exercises on the Studsvik Scandpower CASMO-4/SIMULATE-3 codes to demonstrate how the algorithms presented in the course can be used for industrial applications.
Now ongoing self-paced phase of the course from the beginning of January, on-site participation in the project will be 03/2025
Date: 01-03/2025
More information about the workshop can be found here.
Organized by University of Pisa
The technical workshop is specifically conceived for MSc and PhD students, PostDocs, young and experienced researchers and engineers that are interested in deepening their knowledge on the potential role that hybrid energy systems including Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) play in the ongoing energy transition. The workshop will focus on the description of SMR modelling and optimisation tools to assess hybrid energy systems integrating nuclear reactors, together with the SMR coupling with other energy sources and energy storage systems in hybrid energy systems.
Date: 02/2025
More information about the workshop can be found here.

The Intercontinental Nuclear Institute (INI) is a four-week training session developed in cooperation with the Czech Technical University in Prague and the University of Massachusetts Lowell and is supported by the International Atomic Energy Agency.
It is organized to promote long-term sustainability of nuclear power programme and infrastructure through capacity building, global dialogue and technical engagement in the field of nuclear science and technology and nuclear power reactor technology.
INI aims to bring together talented young people working or studying within the nuclear sector. To this date, we have trained 176 fellows from 30+ countries.
More information about the INI can be found here.
